Her namesake firm, Keely Thorne Events, boasts a talented and carefully curated team of planners who all share in Keely’s thorough attention to detail, boundless creativity, and sincere passion for the industry. From Belize to Cape Cod and everywhere in between, Keely works alongside her team to ensure that every client enjoys a collaborative partnership from start to finish. By taking the time to know their clients and truly understanding their vision, Keely and her team are able to create meaningful events that are truly one-of-a-kind. Being a native Louisianan, Keely’s southern charm and hospitality also play a big role in her ability to make clients and guests feel welcomed, special, and like a member of the family!

History
KTE was founded by namesake, Keely Thorne, in 2008 as a boutique event planning firm focusing on branded high-end weddings. KTE provides full-service planning and design for their clientele and work around the world.
Job Description
The internship program at KTE was created to enable young professionals the opportunity to familiarize themselves with the event industry, KTE standards, and on-the-job event training. This position is typically a 3 month learning period where each individual has the ability to learn the KTE office and process, communicate with industry vendors and clientele, as well as learning daily operations for an event planner.
Job Requirements & Qualifications
~High school education or GED
~Developed customer service skills
~Time management, problem solving and critical thinking skills
~Detail oriented and strong organizational skills
~Ability to work in a fast-paced environment
~Ability to work weekdays and weekends
~Ability to lift a minimum of 20-25 pounds
~Personal transportation
Benefits & Opportunities
~ This position is unpaid M-F but paid $50/hour for assisting events on the weekend

Achievements
Throughout my time interning with KTE, I have gained extensive knowledge of what it takes to successfully plan and put on a successful event. I have learned how to work in a fast-paced, professional environment, ultimately preparing me for a future in the event industry. I have also strengthened my management and interpersonal skills through communicating with vendors and clients all summer.
